After the release of his first EP in the fall of 2017, Phil G Smith returns in the spring of 2019 with On fait du Country, his new album with French-American country-rock sounds produced by John Anthony Gagnon-Robinette (Kaïn, Brittany Kennell, Léa Jarry). Singer-songwriter originally from Gatineau and graduate from École Nationale de la Chanson, Phil saw his first radio single Que l'bon Dieu nous pardonne make its way to the top of the Quebec country radio charts. Phil earned a nomination at the Gala Country 2018 as well as the Stingray Star award at the Festival Western de St-Tite.

 

Phil G Smith's sound lives somewhere between Nashville and Saguenay, and between Tim McGraw and Dany Placard. Just like whiskey by a campfire, it doesn’t get more country than this.
